Welcome to the academic home page of Steven Rogers, an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Saint Louis University.

In my research, I study American politics and elections. I evaluate the extent to which elections serve as a mechanism for accountability and representation in American legislatures. My current book project - Accountabilty in American Legislatures - addresses the question: do elections hold state legislators accountable for their own performance, and my other research can be found in the American Political Science Review (conditionally accepted), American Journal of Political Science, and Legislative Studies Quarterly.

As a hobby, I run the fan web site devoted to the Saint Louis University Men's Basketball team. Always feel free to drop me a line about political science but don't hesitate to talk about the Billikens.
